Liz Elton brings gestural painting together with landscape, exposing her work to the environment and documenting its transformation. Working in places that are subject to change; the edge of the sea, a beach backed by shifting sand dunes, an area of urban change, she aims to capture a sense of cyclicality. Documentation of damaged paintings serves as work, remnants are reused in sculptural pieces, and paintings are made on compostable material looking towards their future destruction.
